I recently realized that I like drum 'n' bass music a lot. I checked out old songs which I burnt onto a CD many years ago, and I stumbled upon the band Lamb. I remembered that they had two songs which I knew: B Line - which I saw once on a local Israeli channel called Echo, and Gabriel which was played regularly on MTV's Alternative Nation show in the early 2000s. I decided to listen to more of the band's music, and I arrived at the conclusion that much of their music is amazing, and I regretted that I hadn't checked out their music before.

My favorite Lamb songs are God Bless, B Line and All in your Hands. Their first two albums are very good - the self-titled first album has songs which I consider to be better than the second album Fear of Fours, but the second album has more good songs overall, so deciding which album one prefers depends on the integration method, i.e. on the positive weights given to the good songs and on the negative weights (that is to say, the penalty) given to the bad ones. They dropped the drum 'n' bass sound on their third offering What Sound, which had two decent tracks (One and Gabriel), and their fourth album Between Darkness and Wonder despite including many good songs, such as Stronger and Learn, lacked the drum 'n' bass sound I am after. Their fifth album failed to impress me.

I continued exploring the genre by checking out the Wikipedia page dedicated to it. I started off by listening to the well known artists Goldie and Roni Size/Reprazent. The first track of Goldie's album Timeless is amazing but the rest of the album failed to impress me. Roni Size/Reprazent's first album New Forms is considered a classic, but other than Brown Paper Bag I didn't really connect to it (and I preferred the version of Brown Paper Bag with hip hop vocals which doesn't appear on the album). Roni Size/Reprazent's second album In the Møde however contained three amazing songs: Who Told You, Dirty Beats and Snapshot.

I am still exploring the genre and found out some new songs that I also liked by Chase & Status, however their drum 'n' bass songs aren't quite as good as their grime track Hitz. Also, Outkast have a nice drum 'n' bass track called B.O.B. and one of my current favorite Underworld tracks, Banstyle/Sappy's Curry, is considered drum 'n' bass as well. I also checked out 4hero, and came across their track Loveless which I liked. I also like other electronic songs not associated with this genre but with a fast beat as well, such as songs from Leftfield's second album Rhythm and Stealth and in particular their track Afrika Shox. I also enjoy electronic tracks that relax me such as Primal Scream's Revolutionary or David Holmes' Don't Die Just Yet.

I still need to explore the genre so I can find many more good songs. I think finding the music you enjoy is a never ending journey, as you always want to hear music similar to but not the same as the music you already know so you can fine-tune your taste.

My taste in music is not limited to drum 'n' bass or electronic music, as the list below of songs which I sometimes listen to shows.
